The Hindu interviews Dr. Priya Chockalingam on Cardiac Rehabilitation

The Hindu’s health editorial team headed by Ms. Ramya Kannan recently visited Cardiac Wellness Institute and interviewed Dr. Priya Chockalingam and some patients with an aim to spread awareness about cardiac rehabilitation.

Dr. Priya discussed with Ms. Ramya the importance of cardiac rehabilitation in the road to recovery of a heart patient, while some of our actual patients narrated their experience at our centre. The key take-home messages of the interview are that cardiac rehabilitation is a medically supervised program that can help reverse coronary artery blocks and the associated risk factors thereby reducing the risk of further cardiac complications and improving the physical and mental wellbeing of individuals with heart diseases. It can be followed by anyone with heart ailments, either in-person or online.
